We live in an age where more and more women are empowered daily.However,there are some women who still stick to their ‘submissive’ roles as a result of ignorance,lack of knowledge or in an attempt to uphold their religion or tradition.
Personally, I respect everybody’s choice and/or preference because we are all entitled to decision-making and we should choose whatever it is that makes us happy.
However,there are some situations that are just too embarrassing to not address.This is the 21st century therefore seeing a woman fully depend on a man is a bondage that needs to be broken.It is not only difficult and draining to the woman but also to the man.
Feminism may be viewed differently by different individuals but what I think is a universal reason for appreciation is how it has not only empowered women but also broadened their thinking.
In this current era,asking a man;be it your spouse,friend or parent to cater for all your needs is very uncalled for.I mean, what makes it so difficult to at least try to take care of yourself?The society can’t be completely blamed either since it has made great steps in providing equal opportunities for women just like men.
Do you think a woman who doesn’t settle for less,is financially stable,embraces change,is up for challenge,is confident in her own skin,makes her own decisions and is responsible for her own happiness would be treated the same way as a woman who lacks all that?
There have always been women complaining about how men disrespect them but I would like you to ask yourself this question,have you earned that respect? Nothing comes on a silver platter therefore it is necessary to toil and be persistent in working towards your dreams.You cannot expect to ask a man to take care of all your needs and still expect him to think highly of you.
Men respect women who are empowered,are not afraid to speak their minds,are independent and know what they want in life.It is rare to find men in this century who only care about how a woman looks.You’ve got to have a brain inside that expensively decorated head of yours.Your reasoning must portray the amazing woman you are.Intelligence after all not only makes you beautiful but also sexy.
Independence on the other hand,makes you strong and bold.It makes you a boss,an iron lady.It doesn’t matter if you choose to stay single or get married since either way,you would still be able to afford whatever you want and work for whatever you desire.To cut the long story short, don’t just strive to marry a rich man but rather,be a rich wife!
